My Experience
Near Deltona and an easy drive from New Smyrna Beach. I booked here in order to visit the spiritual town of Cassadaga.
The site is hidden about 200 yards behind a locked gate. Easy in and out in any vehicle. It is a semi-popular area for locals to hike and horse ride. They park before the gate and cannot drive to the campsite. Occasionally, folks walk in so be aware that someone may show up – they don’t stay! They just apologize and walk back!
The campsite has a fire ring, several benches, and non-potable well water. It is mostly under tree cover but my solar worked for several hours each day – I moved the panels every hour or so. Verizon was strong.
There is a swamp nearby and mosquitoes were active at dawn and dusk but no bugs during the day.
There was a bit of road traffic noise but not enough to be bothersome.
Overall, a nice stay. I had great fun in the Foxhead Lounge biker bar nearby and the 3 crystal shops in Cassadaga had what I needed. The town itself is a bit of a letdown with little to see but if you are spiritual and looking for readings, etc then it is worth a trip.
