My Experience
Wonderful quiet location for a few nights on the way south!
It is near the Florida Trail and thru-hikers with permits may camp nearby. I saw nobody because most start in January as hunting season begins to wind down.
You enter through a locked gate, then drive 0.3 miles on a grassy and muddy road to camp. 4wd is not required unless flooded.
The site is underneath beautiful trees but I found enough sun for my solar. There is a picnic table (2 actually) and a fire pit.
Very few mosquitoes during my stay and Verizon worked ok.
This is a tent area. I highly recommend the free Istokpoga campground a few miles west if you have an RV or Trailer.
This was another of my favorite camping areas. Loved the peaceful setting.
