My Experience
About halfway between Universal Studios and Cape Canaveral, this location is perfect while exploring the Space Coast and Downtown Orlando.
This is one of my favorite campsites in all of Florida. It offers tranquility, privacy, safety, and proximity to the fun spots to the east and west. It is about an hour’s drive to either!
The site is about a mile from the locked entrance gate. The road is good but gets flooded in heavy rain so 4WD is preferred but not required. The drive to the gate is through a very nice neighborhood and it adds to the overall positive experience.
The private site is under a tree canopy but I found enough sun for my solar. There is a covered pavilion, several benches with tables, a fire pit, and a clean porta toilet.
Verizon was strong and I never saw a mosquito! Just perfect. The time there passed too fast. It is a gem.
